Hélène Lagacé

CEO & Founder of ANOVA Academy
Hélène is a metallurgical engineer, educator, and consultant who co founded ANOVA Academy, a company focused on practical training and coaching for manufacturing teams. She helps leaders and their teams use data and simple tools in Excel and Minitab to solve problems, reduce variation, and improve performance across operations. She gives back to the industry by sharing evidence-based methods that support safety, quality, reliability, and throughput while reducing cost. 

Her background includes formal training in Lean manufacturing, certification as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Certified Quality Engineer, and decades of experience in research, production, and product development across the global aluminum industry. She contributed to research and development labs, production lines, and product design, earning multiple patents and industry recognition. She held leadership roles at Alcan, Novelis, Aleris, and Commonwealth Rolled Products, and taught at Queen’s University. In 2018, she received the Women in STEM Award. 

Known for her clear teaching and practical coaching, Hélène turns complex engineering and statistical concepts into simple, actionable tools teams can use right away. Her approach blends Lean Six Sigma methods, statistical thinking, and hands on experience into clear steps, templates, and case studies that build capability and confidence.  

Erik Lagacé is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, educator, and consultant who co founded ANOVA Academy, a company focused on online training for manufacturing companies. He specializes in helping plant leaders and their teams use data and practical tools in Excel and Minitab to solve problems, reduce variation, and improve performance on the shop floor.

 
His background includes formal training in Lean manufacturing and years of experience as a data analyst and continuous improvement trainer for multibillion dollar manufacturing companies. In these roles, he supported projects that improved quality, reliability, and productivity. Erik has taught Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt programs to international audiences, guiding professionals through the full certification journey.

Known for his innovation, clear teaching style, and problem solving skills, Erik is recognized for his ability to turn complex concepts into simple, actionable tools that teams can use right away. His work blends Lean Six Sigma methods, statistical thinking, and practical coaching to help organizations build a culture of continuous improvement and data driven decision making.
