Hélène Lagacé
Hélène Lagacé is a metallurgical engineer and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt who has transformed processes and coached teams across international sites. Over four decades in the aluminum industry, she built a reputation as an effective teacher and a leader who is results driven. Her career spans research and development labs, production lines, and product development, yielding multiple patents and inventions. She is committed to giving back to manufacturing by sharing evidence-based methods that raise safety, quality, reliability, and throughput while reducing cost.
Her background includes engineering, formal Lean training, the Certified Quality Engineer credential, and leadership roles at Alcan, Novelis, Aleris, and Commonwealth Rolled Products. She has taught statistics at Queen’s University and supported large scale improvements that strengthened capability, stability, and productivity. In 2018, she received the Women in STEM Award. Later in her career, she co-founded ANOVA Academy to expand access to practical training and hands on coaching for manufacturing teams.
Known for grounded coaching and practical instruction, Hélène helps learners connect technical concepts to their day-to-day work. She draws on Lean Six Sigma expertise, strong analytical thinking, and decades of real industry experience to teach Excel and Minitab in a clear and practical way. Erik Lagacé is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, educator, and consultant who co-founded ANOVA Academy, a company focused on online training for manufacturing companies. He specializes in helping plant leaders and their teams use data and practical tools in Excel and Minitab to solve problems, reduce variation, and improve performance on the shop floor.
His background includes formal training in Lean manufacturing and years of experience as a data analyst and continuous improvement trainer for multibillion dollar manufacturing companies. In these roles, he supported projects that improved quality, reliability, and productivity. Erik has taught Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt programs to international audiences, guiding professionals through the full certification journey.
